Soon To Be Orange

As you can somewhat see by the hybrids below, orange will one day be a reality. Most of these clones are small: 37 to 45 mm tip-to-tip. Typical Reticulatas are 50 to 60 mm.

They start off about half way between orange and yellow when they open, which then tends to fade to yellow. The orange intensity doesn't seem to get captured quite as well in the photo as what you see in person.

Clearly, I need to improve the intensity of the orange, as well as make the colour sun-fast (non-fade)

The brown style rib comes of course from the Çat parent
